How it works
Book the room, keep the receipt, skip the queue
Booking a guest house should feel like booking the room itself — no commission on your rate, no platform between you and the front desk, and one place to manage the stay afterwards. This is the whole of it.
Before you book
What you are actually buying
Four promises, and each one is a mechanism in the product rather than a slogan.
Book direct
No platform fee — you pay the property's own rate.
The property sets its own rate and keeps it. Thezi adds no commission, no booking fee and no service charge on top, so the number in the availability grid is the number the property will honour at the desk. There is no operator standing between you and the guest house.
VAT invoice included
Every stay comes with an invoice that itemises the VAT.
Every booking is invoiced from the booking's own pricing — the line items and the VAT split are worked out on the server, not typed in by hand, and the invoice is issued under the property's legal entity with its VAT number. What you paid is what the invoice says.
Secure payment
Pay by card or EFT, straight to the property.
Card details are entered on the payment gateway's own hosted page and never reach Thezi's servers — we do not receive or store a card number. EFT and bank transfer are offered too, and the money settles into the property's account rather than a platform account.
Live rates & availability
What you see is the property's own calendar.
Rates and availability are read from the property's own calendar, not from a cached listing. If a room is taken or a price changes, the grid changes with it. One calendar, one source of truth — the rate on screen and the rate on the invoice cannot drift apart.
The journey
From a search to a checked-out guest
Six steps, and every one of them happens in the same place — the property's own calendar and the guest portal.
- 1
Search where you want to stay
Give the directory a town, your dates and how many of you there are, and it takes you straight to that property's own availability grid.
- 2
Read the real per-night rate
The grid shows what every room costs on every night of your stay — not a headline 'from' price — so you choose on the number you will actually pay.
- 3
Take a quotation while you decide
A quotation holds the room while you talk it over. You get the deadline in writing, and you can accept it or let it lapse.
- 4
Pay the property, not a middleman
Card or EFT, settled straight into the property's account. Thezi never takes a cut of what you pay.
- 5
Check in from your phone
Add your arrival time, your vehicle and your guest details before you set off, so the room can be ready when you arrive. Check out from the same page.
- 6
Keep the invoice and the statement
Every stay carries a VAT invoice with the line items and the VAT split. Your booking page also holds a receipt and a downloadable statement.
After you book
One page for the whole stay
Your booking carries its own portal. No email archaeology, no paper folio at the desk.
One place to manage
Your reservation, payment status and statement, whenever you need them.
Open your booking from any device with the reference the property gave you. Your dates and rooms, what you have paid, what is still outstanding, and a downloadable statement all sit on one page. Sign in once and the reservation stays attached to your account.
Check in online
Complete your arrival details from your phone instead of the front desk queue.
Add your arrival time, your vehicle and your guest details from your phone before you set off, so the room can be ready when you walk in. Check out from the same page when you leave — no queue at the desk either way.
See the real rate
Open the availability grid and read the live per-night price before you pay.
The rate grid shows what every room costs on every night of your stay — not a headline 'from' price. What the grid says is what the property will charge, so there is no surprise waiting for you at checkout.
A direct line
The property's own contact details — no call centre in the middle.
The phone number, email and WhatsApp you see are the property's own. Call the front desk, message it on WhatsApp, or get directions — you are talking to the people who will actually check you in.
Who sets what
The property decides. Thezi carries it.
A direct booking only works if both sides are clear about who is responsible for what. Here it is, in full.
The property sets
- The rate for every room, every night
- Availability, and the hold it puts on a room
- The cancellation policy
- Check-in and check-out times
- Its own phone number, email, WhatsApp and address
- The legal entity and VAT number on the invoice
Thezi provides
- The availability grid and its live per-night pricing
- The booking, the quotation and the room hold
- The guest portal — one page for your reservation, payment status and statement
- Online check-in and check-out
- The VAT invoice, the receipt and the statement
- The payment rails — card and EFT, settled straight to the property
Money
Where your money goes
Your card never reaches us
Card details are entered on the payment gateway's own hosted page. Thezi does not receive a card number, does not store one, and has nothing to leak.
It settles with the property
Card or EFT, the money lands in the property's own account. There is no platform float, no platform account and no commission riding on what you pay.
A document for every stay
A VAT invoice with the line items and the VAT split, a receipt once you have paid, and a statement you can download from your booking page.
Questions
The things guests ask before they pay
- How long is my room held while I decide?
- A quotation holds the room — by default for 48 hours from the moment it is created. Your booking page shows the exact deadline and counts it down for you. If it expires unpaid, the room goes back onto the property's calendar automatically, so it can be sold to someone else.
- Can I cancel, and what happens to my money?
- Yes. The property's cancellation policy is shown on your booking page, and you can cancel from that same page. Any refund follows that policy — the property sets it, and it is shown to you before you pay rather than afterwards.
- What payment methods can I use?
- Card, or EFT and bank transfer, depending on what the property has switched on. Either way the money settles with the property. Thezi never holds your money and never takes a share of it.
- Is it safe to pay on this site?
- Card details are entered on the payment gateway's own secure page and never reach Thezi's servers — we do not receive or store a card number. You also get a VAT invoice for every stay, so you always have a document to show.
- Where do I find my booking again?
- The front door's “Find my booking” box takes your property code and your booking reference and takes you straight to it. Sign in and the reservation stays attached to your account for next time.
- Who do I contact about my stay?
- The property, for anything about the stay itself — the phone, email and WhatsApp on its page are its own. Thezi is the layer in between: the portal, the booking, the rate and the invoice.
